Mrs. Arifa Muzaffar

Mrs. Arifa Muzaffar was born in Mian Channo, Pakistan. She received a Bachelors degree in Botany and Chemistry and a Masters degree in Special Education from Pakistan. Mrs. Muzaffar, along with her husband, Muzaffar Ali immigrated to Canada in 1995. She began her career in the Insurance industry and received much acclaim in a short period of time. However, her passion had always revolved around serving the community. She commenced her media journey in Toronto in 1998.

An outstanding role-model and representative of the South Asian Community, Mrs. Muzaffar has dedicated years of her life to the benefit and advancement of the South Asian community in the Greater Toronto Area and beyond. Through her devotion, sincerity and commitment, she continues to earn the respect of thousands of dedicated listeners and viewers of her Radio channel 770 AM - a dedicated South Asian radio channel that can not only be heard live but, for the first time in South Asian media history, the channel can be seen live via Livestreaming technology on www.eawaz.com - thanks to Mrs. Muzaffar.

Her daily talk and entertainment show, Radio Saaz-O-Awaz, has an audience that spans all age groups across the Pakistani and Indian communities. Seniors indicate her voice is sometimes their only companion for many days. Women indicate her strength and teachings inspire them in novel ways. Men indicate her resilience and strength of belief inspires added respect for women within them. Youth refer to her as a role-model. She truly has a remarkable persona. She sensitively and respectfully advocates for cross cultural harmony, patience and tolerance. She propagates the importance and inherent value of adaptation and adjustment to Canadian society, whilst honouring ones faith, norms, culture and beliefs. She campaigns for communities to portray discipline, unity and commitment. She provides a disciplined and non-judgemental platform for South Asian to voice their experiences, celebrations, concerns and opportunities. She helps advance music, news, information, businesses, and promotes entrepreneurship within and across communities. A reverent supporter of women, Mrs. Muzaffar consistently advocates to South Asian women to recognize and contribute to their own development, prosperity and advancement and that of their families and community at large.

Mrs. Muzaffar is not only a loyal and devoted wife but also a dedicated and loving mother to their 8 year old son, Mohammad Ali. The conviction in her voice and determination in her eyes along with her conservative charm and humbleness, continue to serve thousands of South Asian community members to achieve strength, confidence, focus and hope. It is her firm faith, courage and fortitude that she single-handedly continues her and her husband's mission of serving the community. She does so faithfully recognizing the contribution of her parents and the undying support and belief of her husband. Her dedication continues to earn her the respect and gratitude of the community and the support of her family and friends. Today, we are honoured to recognize Mrs. Arifa Muzaffar.
