NAWABSHAH: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Bajwa reached Nawabshah on Friday afternoon where they visited the injured of the deadly Sehwan blast.
They were accompanied by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah and Governor Sindh Muhammad Zubair.
At least 80 people were martyred and over 300 injured in a suicide attack on the shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar on Thursday.
Taluka Hospital Sehwan confirmed the death toll of 60 men, four women and six children, adding that 55 bodies were handed over to their heirs, while 15 were unidentifiable. The medical facility further informed that among the injured, 190 men, 11 women and nine children were under treatment, while 41 wounded patients were shifted to other hospitals.
MS Peoples Medical Centre Nawabshah stated that 37 injured were at its health facility, while ten were sent to a hospital in Karachi, four bodies including of a child and woman were unidentified.
