Charges Laid in Drug Trafficking Operation

Region of Peel – Investigators from the Specialized Enforcement Bureau have laid charges against three individuals in relation to a drug trafficking operation in the Region of Peel.

On Friday, April 2, 2021, investigators concluded an investigation into a drug trafficking operation executing search warrants in Brampton and Mississauga, which led to three individuals arrested and the seizure of three firearms, excess of 2500 rounds of ammunition, cash, various drugs, and more.

Johnathan Sinclair, a 28-year-old man from Mississauga, was charged with the following offences:

Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
Possession of A Prohibited Device
Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Oxycodone
Possession of Property obtained by crime
Breach of Conditional Sentence Order
Akilah Andall, a 29-year-old female from Brampton, was charged with the following offences:

Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
Possession of A Prohibited Device
Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Oxycodone
Possession Property Obtained by Crime
Jaylen Howe, a 19-year-old male from Mississauga, was charged with the following offences:

Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm x 2
Possession of A Prohibited Device (silencer/mag/hollow point ammo) x 3
Possession of a Prohibited/Restricted Firearm with Ammo CC x2
Possession CDSA – Cocaine
Conspiracy to Commit and Indictable Offence
The total of the items seized, as follows:

Firearm – HNKVP 9mm
Loaded Glock 19
Taurus 709 Slim 9mm Compact
Silencer
High capacity drum magazine
Over 2500 rounds of various ammunition
16 round loaded magazine
Purple Fentanyl – ½ kilogram (approximate)
Fentanyl pills – 105 grams
Green Fentanyl pills – 218 grams
Cocaine – one kilogram (approximate)
Oxycodone – 6,550 pills
Cocaine press
Cash over $5000
Two “Kidnapping kits” (balaclava, fresh towels, gloves, pliers, zip ties, and duct tape found)
All three were held for a bail hearing and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on April 3, 2021.
